Later biographical information recorded on the backing board states that he trained at the Sir John Cass School of Art in London and Glasgow School of Art. Alongside his painting, Henderson and his wife Eva operated Simply Stoneware Limited, a business retailing ceramics, wallpaper and related furnishings.
